For example, the sport bar uses high-strength steel and is integrated into the B-Pillar that runs into the floor. This improves side-impact performance, vehicle stiffness, torsional rigidity and control at highway speeds.

    • Unlimited’s advanced multistage front airbags en_always_sit_properly_front inflate with a force appropriate to the severity of the impact. Available seat-mounted side airbags en_always_sit_properly_front deploy from the outboard side of each front cloth seat to provide enhanced head and thorax protection in the event of a side-impact.

    • Safety Cage
    • Crumple zones are designed to compress during an accident to absorb energy from an impact, decreasing transfer of that energy to the occupants. Crash dummies and volunteer engineers both confirm the added safety of the Wrangler Unlimited.

    Jeep® Wrangler Unlimited has earned the U.S. government's highest rating for frontal-impact crash testing — Five Starsen_own_star_ratings. You'll also feel reassured knowing both passive and active features, such as advanced front multistage airbagsen_always_sit_properly_front, Electronic Stability Controlen_always_drive_carefully (ESC) and Antilock Brake System (ABS), have been designed to help keep you safer and more secure during your on- and off-road adventures.

  • Boxed Body-On-Frame

    Wrangler Unlimited's body-on-frame construction is fully boxed for added strength, stiffness and durability. A boxed body-on-frame design enhances suspension performance, reduces noise, vibration and harshness, and helps eliminate creaks and groans.

  • Mid-Mounted Fuel Tank

    Wrangler Unlimited's mid-mounted fuel tank includes wide-spaced frame rails to cradle the fuel tank between the wheels. The fuel tank features a robust 2.5-mm skid plate for added protection during off-road activity.
