Skid plates protect your investment from off-road rocks and on-road debris. Front suspension and drivetrain plates are constructed of 3-mm thick stamped steel. The front suspension skid plate protects the front axle, steering gear and engine oil pan; a transfer case skid plate protects the transfer case and the fuel tank skid plate enhances the performance of the fuel tank brush guard.

Electronic Limited-Slip Differentials (ELSDs)

The industry-exclusive ELSD units work in tandem with the Quadra-Drive® II 4WD transfer case to automatically send up to 100 percent of available torque to any wheel, front or rear, to help maintain control and traction. On 4WD systems without ELSD a Brake Traction Control system automatically transfers torque from one wheel to another on the same axle when wheel slip conditions are detected.
