Engineered crush zones divert and dissipate impact energy away from the passenger compartment, help reduce injuries in the event of an accident. Patriot’s safety cage structure and front crumple zones absorb energy during a front impact; door guard beams help protect occupants during side impact; a ultra high-strength roll-formed steel cross-beam is bolted to the body structure under the rear seat to help transfer side-impact energy from one side of the car to the other.
The integrated restraint system includes three-point lap and shoulder belts for all seating positions.
