Liberty can tow up to 5,000 pounds when properly equipped.
Liberty’s Trailer Sway Control[1] (TSC) system helps reduce trailer sway and improves handling in adverse towing conditions caused by crosswinds and traffic.
TSC works with Electronic Stability Program[1] (ESP) and Antilock Brake System (ABS), alternating brake pressure to automatically correct oscillation in the vehicle trailer system.
TSC does not require any driver input. It automatically activates when needed. The ESP function lamp will flash when TSC is activated.

Liberty can tow a healthy 5,000 pounds when properly equipped with a load-leveling hitch.
- TOW / HAUL Mode
The advanced four-speed transmission uses fully adaptive electronic control for exceptionally smooth shifting. Push the TOW / HAUL button next to the shifter for improved vehicle performance and fuel economy while minimizing engine noise during trailer towing or heavy-load hauling. The TOW / HAUL mode inhibits fourth gear and allows upshifts to third gear during higher speed / lighter loads.
