Electronic Stability Program (ESP)
Jeep® vehicle customers expect and deserve engineering that can handle off-road as well as everyday driving conditions. That's why all Jeep® Commander models come standard with an Electronic Stability Program (ESP)[1]. ESP is designed to assist drivers in maintaining control of their vehicles during extreme steering maneuvers. It senses when a vehicle is starting to spin (oversteer) or plow (understeer), and attempts to correct the vehicle's course by automatically controlling the throttle and applying the brakes at individual wheels.

- Always drive carefully, consistent with conditions. Always wear your seat belt and obey traffic laws.
Antilock Braking (ABS)
The standard four-wheel antilock brake system (ABS) helps prevent wheel lockup when the brakes are applied for an emergency stop. ABS is part of an all-speed traction control system that helps manage wheel slippage by routing torque to the drive wheels with the most traction. These systems are always ready to help you stay on your intended course, whether you're traveling over paved roads, back roads, mud, or gravel.

ParkSense® Rear Park Assist System
The ParkSense® Rear Park Assist System[2] uses sound waves to detect nearby obstacles in and near the rear path of the vehicle to help you maneuver in tight spaces at parking speeds. Audio-visual indicators in the overhead display in the rear of the vehicle alert you to the proximity of most larger, stationary objects that might be outside your line of sight.

ParkView® Rear Back-Up Camera
For an added level of security, there's ParkView® [2] Rear Back-Up Camera - an available rearview camera that features an instrument-panel-mounted 6.5-inch diagonal screen, which shows a real-time view of what's behind your Commander. ParkView works in conjunction with available ParkSense® [2] Rear Park Assist. Standard on Overland. Available on Sport and Limited.

- Always check entire surroundings before backing up.
Tire-Pressure Monitoring System
Maintaining proper tire pressure is paramount for optimal safety, performance, and fuel economy. The standard tire-pressure monitoring systems for Jeep® Commander models feature tire-valve stem-mounted sensors that monitor individual tire pressures for all four rotating tires and warn if pressure is too low or too high. Whether you choose the base system (warning lamp display located on instrument panel) or the premium (monitoring display located on Electronic Vehicle information Center) system, you'll know your tires are ready to hit the road.
